          ABOUT LIBRARY K V JHARSUGUDA

Mineral rich District, Jharsuguda is one of the most industrially developed District of Odisha. Jharsuguda District was established on 1st January, 1994. earlier it was a part of Sambalpur District. It was created by amalgamation of the erstwhile Jamindars of Rampur, Kolabira, Padampur and Kudabaga. The District is surrounded by Sundargarh District in the North, Sambalpur District in the East, Bargarh District in the South and Chattisgarh state in the West. Jharsuguda District is situated at a distance of 515 km from Kolkata, 616 km from Nagpur, 48 km from Sambalpur and 372 km from state capital Bhubaneswar. Jharsuguda District is covering total area of 2, 081 sq kms. The District lies between 21.82 degree north latitude and 84.1 degree east longitude.

 

To cater the educational needs of the locality KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA JHARSUGUDA came into existence in the year of 1987 . It is a co-educational school with unity in diversity and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Students take the AISSE (class X) and AISSCE (class XII) Exam in the month of March every year. To supplement the educational and information needs of the students and teachers the Library of K V jharsuguda came in to force. The LIBRARY K V JHARSUGUDA serve as the canter of information and knowledge for the School and provides easy access to national and global knowledge to all staff and students.  The Library is fully automated and powered by E-Granthalaya library automation software.
The collections of the Library include more than 8000 catalogued books and other print materials in Hindi, English, Odia and Sanskrit languages on various subjects. The Library is subscribing 4 Newspapers and 25 Magazines . The activities, collections and dissemination of services of the Library have a vital role in the all-round development of Vidyalaya.

This Library blog is created to disseminate the information and knowledge to the students and teachers and others information seekers.
